Welcome to the Website

of the

Alpine Garden Society Bedfordshire Group

We are a small friendly group of Alpine enthusiasts founded in December 1986 and still going strong over thirty-five years later.

From October 2023 we will be meeting on a Saturday afternoon at the Weatherley Centre in Biggleswade. Check out the dates here

Meetings start at 2.30pm, with the speaker starting at 3.00pm, and the evening finishing at about 4.30 (after tea / coffee / biscuits and a chat).

 How to find us

Annual membership costs £10.00 for singles, £15.00 for joint membership and £2.00 for students and juniors. There is a monthly capitation fee of £2 and this includes tea or coffee and biscuits.  The Visitor's fee is only £5 for each meeting, so if you're still not sure about joining us yet, why not come along as a visitor for a "taster" meeting?

Instead of a competitive show in March 2024 we will be having a display of everything Alpine. This will be held on Saturday 23rd  March in the Elgar Room at the Weatherley Centre, Biggleswade.

And it won’t be just plants on display, we have many talented artists, photographers and embroiderers amongst our membership.

And for those wanting a bit of retail therapy, there will be plenty of plants on sale!

We pride ourselves on the welcoming and friendly atmosphere that we create at the Alpine Garden Society Bedfordshire Group and we hope to see you in the near future! For more details about the Group's history and activities click here.

Although we encourage our members to join the Alpine Garden Society, it is not necessary to do so in order to join our Group. Click the link to open the AGS website AGS.
