The AGS Bedfordshire Group was exceptionally lucky to be given a generous bequest by the late Ken and Alison Wilscher. Ken was the Group's treasurer for a number of years and his wife Alison served as secretary until 1997. In memory of two greatly missed members and to show our gratitude for the gift they left to us every year we designate one of our meetings as the 'Wilscher Memorial Lecture'.

2010/2011 - Tony Goode: "From Our Own Correspondence"
|
For the very first Wilscher Memorial Lecture Tony Goode, a firm favourite of the Group, will be returning to us. Tony's talk is based on a collection of photos given to him by botanists and growers from around the world. The Lecture will cover topics such as 'Bulbs and Orchids of Israel', 'Narcissus through the Eyes of a Spanish Naturalist', 'The Ortleralpen in Autumn' and 'A Year in the Valais'.
